WhatsApp has recently launched a very good feature in the iOS beta testing update, by enabling this feature any user can block messages from unknown accounts, and at the same time if an unknown user sends too many messages then this feature prevents them from being spam. To use this feature you have to go to the advanced settings in your iOS WhatsApp and enable the “Block unknown account messages” option.

When will the “Block unknown account messages’ security feature roll out in Android for regular users?
Right now this feature has been rolled out for iOS beta testers but there are high chances that it will be rolled out for Android beta testers next week, and after a week of beta testing this feature will be released for regular WhatsApp users as well.
